The hazard library

Set up the standard hazards and controls crews pick from when a site report asks for a hazard assessment.

The hazard library holds your company's standard hazards, each with its controls and a risk rating. Crews pick from this list when a site report template includes a Hazard assessment question.

Before you start

Only the owner and admins can manage the hazard library.

Add a hazard

  1. Open Settings → Hazard library.
  2. Select Add hazard.
  3. Enter the hazard's name and its controls.
  4. Set the initial risk rating (likelihood and consequence before any controls) and the residual rating (after the controls are applied).
  5. Select Save.

Manage the list

  • Use Move up and Move down to reorder the list crews see.
  • Select Edit to change a hazard's name, controls or ratings.
  • Select Archive to take a hazard out of use. Archived hazards collapse under a separate list, with a Restore action to bring one back.

Changing a hazard applies to hazards picked from now on. A report already started keeps what was picked when it was started.

If something goes wrong

  • No hazards in the library yet. Add your first one to make it available on site reports.
