The person who signs up becomes the workspace owner. Only an owner can choose the plan, during the trial or when it ends.

Before you start

• Have a work email you can open now. ONYX1 sends a 6-digit code to it.
• Use an email that doesn't already sign in to ONYX1. Each email belongs to one ONYX1 workspace.
• If the sign-up page shows Coming soon, public sign-up isn't open yet. Email support@onyx1.app and we'll set you up.

Start the trial

1. Open the sign-up page, enter your Work email and select Continue.
2. Copy the 6-digit code from the email into Verification code and select Verify. The code works for 15 minutes.
3. Fill in Your name, a Password of at least 8 characters and your Business name.
4. Add your NZBN and Phone if you have them. Both are optional, and you can add them later in Settings → Business.
5. Select a plan from the list. Plans and what each includes compares them. Every trial gets every feature for 14 days, whichever plan you select. The plan sets how many people you can add during the trial, and you can choose a different plan when you pay.
6. Tick both boxes:
   • I agree to the Terms of Service on behalf of my business.
   • I’ve read the Privacy Policy.
7. Select Start my free trial.

ONYX1 creates your workspace, signs you in and opens Home.

During the trial

• Settings → Plan & billing shows how many days are left.
• ONYX1 emails you when 4 days are left and again when 1 day is left.
• You can subscribe before the trial ends. Plans and what each includes explains how.

When the trial ends

At the end of the 14 days your workspace pauses. Pausing deletes nothing: your jobs, quotes and invoices stay as they are, and ONYX1 doesn't delete a paused workspace by itself. The Terms of Service say what happens to your data if your account is closed.

• When anyone signs in, ONYX1 shows Your free trial has ended.
• The owner selects a plan on that page to switch the workspace back on. Everyone else is asked to get the owner to sign in.
• If the page asks you to email support@onyx1.app instead, do that and we'll set you up.

Once you pay, your workspace has the modules and features your plan includes. Records you made in a module your plan doesn't include stay in the workspace, but that module's pages send you to the upgrade page. Nobody loses access for being over the plan's seats: your seat limit is set to at least the number of people active when you subscribe.

If something goes wrong

• That code isn’t right or has expired. Request a new one. Select Use a different email, enter the same email again and select Continue for a new code.
• That NZBN doesn’t check out. Check the number, or leave it blank and add it later in Settings → Business.
• That email already has an ONYX1 account. That email already signs in to an ONYX1 workspace. Sign in with it, select Forgot password? on the sign-in page, or start the trial with a different email.
• That business already has an ONYX1 workspace. Another workspace uses the NZBN you entered. Sign in to that workspace, or email support@onyx1.app.
