The Jobs hub and its views

Board, Schedule, Gantt, List and Map are five ways to look at the same jobs. Switch between them at the top of Jobs.

Open Jobs from the menu to reach the hub. A switcher at the top lets you change how the same jobs are shown: Board, Schedule, Gantt, List and Map. The owner, admins, dispatchers and office staff also see Drafts, which is not a view of jobs: it lists site visits saved before they became jobs. List and Schedule are open to every role. Map is open to every role too, once the owner or an admin turns it on. Board and Gantt need to be turned on and are limited to the owner, admins, dispatchers, office staff and site supervisors.

The views

  • Board: a column per status, in the order set out in Job statuses. Drag a card to a different column to move the job, if that move is allowed for your role. Select a card to open a quick view with the job's key details and a link to Open full job.
  • List: every job grouped by status, with what's happening on site shown first. If you can archive jobs, an Active and Archived tab lets you switch between current and archived jobs, with a count on the Archived tab.
  • Schedule: a month calendar. Each day shows how many jobs are booked on it, and how many of those are flagged. Use the month navigation to look ahead or back.
  • Gantt: a six-week, side-scrolling timeline of jobs by date.
  • Map: every job with a site address shown as a pin, coloured by status. Select a pin to open the job.
  • Drafts: site visits captured on a phone or at a desk, with photos, a rough scope and a reserved job number, waiting to become jobs. See Capture a draft job after a site visit.

Filters

Board, List, Schedule, Gantt and Map can all be filtered by Assignee, if the role viewing them can. Only the Board can also filter by Priority, and by Category ("trade") when the workspace uses categories.

Turning views on or off

Board, Gantt and Map are optional. The owner or an admin turns them on or off at Settings → Features, under Extra job views: Board (Kanban), Gantt chart and Map. List and Schedule are always on and cannot be turned off.
