Plans and what each includes
What each ONYX1 plan includes, how to see which plan you're on, and how the owner changes it.

See your plan
Open Settings → Plan & billing. The owner and admins can open it.
- Your plan shows your plan, its price, how many seats you've used and how much storage you've used.
- Usage shows this month's invoices, emails and background exports, and your storage, against your plan's limits.
- Plans compares every plan, module by module.
On a free trial, the page says you're on a free trial with every feature unlocked, and how many days are left. See Start your free trial.
Change your plan
Only an owner can change the plan.
- Open Settings → Plan & billing.
- In Plans, select the plan you want. Its modules are marked Added or You lose this against your current plan.
- Check the summary, then select the button under it. It reads Subscribe to or Switch to, followed by the plan's name.
- Read the confirmation, then select the same button again. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
What happens next depends on your situation:
- If this is your first subscription, you enter your card on Stripe's checkout page, and the plan starts once the payment goes through. A one-off setup fee may apply to a first subscription; the confirmation shows it before you pay.
- If you move up, the new plan applies today, and the pro-rated difference is charged to your card.
- If you move down, the change takes effect from your next bill. Nothing changes until then.
Nobody loses access when a plan has fewer seats than the people you have active: your seat limit is set to at least the number of people active at the change. Records you made in a module marked You lose this stay in your workspace, but that module's pages send people to the upgrade page.
Once you've subscribed, Manage billing on the same page opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can update your card, download invoices or cancel.
If you cancel
Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. When the subscription ends, the workspace pauses: nothing is deleted, and anyone who signs in sees the page where an owner picks a plan to switch it back on. The Terms of Service set how long your data is kept after your account closes.
When you can't change it yourself
- If the page says Your plan is managed by ONYX1. Email support@onyx1.app to make changes., ONYX1 manages your plan, so plan changes go through support.
- If the page asks you to email support@onyx1.app to move up or down a plan, self-serve checkout isn't available for your workspace yet. Email us and we'll change your plan for you.
The upgrade page
When someone opens a module your plan doesn't include, ONYX1 shows the upgrade page. It names the cheapest plan that includes the module. The owner gets a link to Settings → Plan & billing, or the support address when ONYX1 manages billing. Anyone else is asked to get the owner to upgrade.
White-label branding works differently: without it, Settings → Branding shows a message naming the plan that includes it, instead of the upgrade page.
If the upgrade page says a module isn’t switched on, your plan includes it but ONYX1 hasn't switched it on for your workspace. Email support@onyx1.app and we'll switch it on. Hiding a module in Settings → Features never causes this message, because hiding doesn't change what your plan includes.
