Add your logo and brand colour
Upload your logo and set colours for your workspace, compliance PDFs, and plan-gated revenue documents and emails.
On this pageBefore you start
Settings → Branding sets the logo and colours used for your workspace and customer-facing documents.
Before you start
Only the owner and admins can open Settings, and your plan needs to include branding. If it does not, this page shows an upgrade message instead of the form; see Plans and what each includes.
Set your branding
- Open Settings → Branding.
- Under Logo, choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image under 256 KB.
- Under Primary colour, choose the colour ONYX1 uses across your team's workspace, including the new-job button and active sidebar item.
- Under Accent colour, choose the colour used by branded PDFs and email shells.
- Check the preview beside the colour pickers. It shows your primary colour as a button and its contrast ratio. Choose a darker or lighter shade if ONYX1 warns that the text may not stay readable.
- Select Save branding.
ONYX1 shows Branding saved.
What changes where
Compliance PDFs always use your stored logo and accent colour: the incident register and Pre-Start, Permit to Work, Incident and Gear site-report PDFs. The masthead shows your business name as well as the logo. A missing or unusable logo falls back to the business name, and a missing or invalid accent colour falls back to the PDF's default blue. Toolbox-talk records do not have a toolbox-talk PDF surface.
Revenue documents use your logo and accent colour while your plan includes branding: quotes, estimates, invoices and tax documents, document and notification email shells, and the End of Day client progress report. A missing or invalid accent colour uses the safe default for that surface. A malformed stored logo falls back to the business name and does not stop an invoice email from being sent.
The customer portal shows the provider name and logo when the provider's plan includes branding. It does not receive the accent colour, so the portal keeps its own styling.
If your primary colour would not read clearly on the dark sidebar, ONYX1 keeps the sidebar in its own colour and still applies your brand colour elsewhere, so your choice remains visible.
